Mat Class
A group class tailored to provide a challenging workout focused on core musculature and increased flexibility in an inspiring and fun group setting. Incorporating the fundamentals of Pilates, this class follows the classical Mat order, and is appropriate for all students. While various level exercises may be introduced, modifications are always provided. Rather than using springs and straps for resistance – you will use your body weight for resistance. Although apparatus Pilates equipment is not utilized during mat classes, small exercise props such as Magic Circles, weights, bands and balls are often utilized to engage specific muscle groups and assist with body positioning. You'll feel the energy propel you toward a great workout in this class.
Tower Class
This challenging class is recommended for clients who have taken several private, semi-private and/or mat classes. You must be familiar with Pilates movement and language.
A Tower Class is a group class and incorporates the use of the Wall Unit (Tower) along with mat work. Combining essential mat work with the benefits of the Pilates Tower equipment, this class is ideal for students of all levels. Through a system of springs and bars, the equipment supports the body to ensure proper stabilization and positioning, while providing added resistance for strengthening, toning and lengthening muscles. Be prepared for a challenging workout!
Small Group Reformer
This challenging class is recommended for clients who have taken several private, semi-private and/or mat classes. You must be familiar with Pilates movement and language. This class uses the Pilates Reformer apparatus. The Pilates Reformer is a piece of equipment that provides resistance with a series of springs and straps. The class emphasis is on rhythmic, flowing sets of movements which increase strength, flexibility and stamina while also improving alignment, balance, coordination and tone. The result of the workout is a uniformly developed body with strong back and abdominal muscles. There are countless different movements in the Group Pilates Reformer classes and these are performed seated, standing, on all fours, or lying on your back, side or front. Experience the Pilates reformer in a small group setting. |
