The Art of Control® offers Traditional Pilates and has been the first studio in upper Westchester, NY since 1996, that descends directly - in its methods and in its certification serving Purchase, NY, Westchester and NYC areas- from Joseph Pilates himself. The certification program assures that the system as developed by Joseph Pilates is taught safely and effectively, and is consistent with the experience of more than 70 years of practice. The Art of Control® offers both individual and group training, independent work for experienced students, including private sessions, duets, semi-privates, Tower, Reformer and Mat classes. The Art of Control® also offers individual sessions at home for students otherwise unable to come to the studio and the opportunity for those dedicated to the method to become instructors through Teacher Certification programs, and Mat Instructor Certification. In addition to Pilates, the studio offers therapeutic massage, Feldenkrais sessions and Awareness Through Movement Classes, conferences and workshops with reknowned teachers in the Pilates and wellness fields, nutritional support and education, and wellness products through our website.
